Ship waves and the stability of armour layers protecting slopes

Equations are presented for predicting the height and length of ship waves, which take into account the influence of ship speed, distance to the sailing line and shape of the ship's bow. Stability criteria are given for riprap bank protection and block revetments attacked by ship waves.
