Inland ships: CFD calculations 2022: Squat in complex situations with ReFRESCO

In 2020 Rijkswaterstaat (RWS) and the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) agreed to continue the joint research project on shallow-water effects that was initiated in 2019. This study, made critical by the low water levels in Dutch rivers, especially in 2018, aims at developing simulation models to investigate the effect of extreme shallow water conditions. The two main themes are squat and manoeuvring.
